Alice In Chains Debut First Song In Five Years ‘The One You Know’

Alice In Chains have released their first song in five years. ‘The One You Know’ gives fans a taste of the upcoming sixth album for the band.

The next album will tie current singer William DuVall’s Alice In Chains output with original singer Layne Staley who died in 2002. At that point Alice In Chains hadn’t recorded an album since 1995’s self-titled album.

Of the new record founding member and lead guitarist Jerry Cantrell said, “It’s a record we haven’t done yet, but it’s also a record that has all the elements of anything you would expect from us. It’s got our fingerprint. And we’re really proud of the material we wrote and the performances we captured.

‘The One You Know’ was recorded in Seattle at Studio X by producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Stone Sour).
