Amyl and The Sniffers have announced a four-date Australian summer tour for early 2027, marking a return to outdoor venues in Brisbane, Fremantle, Sydney and Melbourne following an intensive period of international activity. The shows take place between 26 February and 7 March and will feature support acts including WAAX, GRUB, Barkaa and Spike Fuck. Five dollars from every ticket sold will be donated to a selection of charities, with an additional dollar from Sydney tickets going to local surf life saving clubs.

The tour follows the release of the band’s third studio album, Cartoon Darkness, in 2024. That record brought Grammy and Brit Award nominations, multiple ARIA Award wins and extensive global touring that included performances at Glastonbury and Coachella. The band also issued a live country album during this period. The 2027 Australian dates bring the group back to home soil for a series of shows in prominent outdoor settings.

The charity component forms a central part of the announcement. Funds raised through the $5-per-ticket donation will be divided equally among Food Bank Australia, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, the Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre, Living Knowledge Network, Wilya Janta (Standing Strong) Housing Collaboration, Sisters Inside and Teach Us Consent. In Sydney an extra $1 from each ticket will support the Bondi and North Bondi Surf Life Saving Clubs. The band stated: “We want to extend our love and respect to the local community, and most importantly to those members of the Jewish community who were targeted during the attack. Thank you for letting us play.”

Amyl and The Sniffers formed in Melbourne and have built a reputation for high-energy live performances and direct songwriting. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2019, won the ARIA Award for Best Rock Album and led to early international festival appearances. The follow-up, Comfort To Me, arrived in 2021, debuting at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart and achieving broader international chart placements. Cartoon Darkness, produced by Nick Launay and released in 2024, also debuted at number two in Australia, marked the band’s first entry on the Billboard 200 and earned their first Grammy nomination. In 2025 the group collected four ARIA Awards, including Best Group and Best Album, along with Song of the Year at the APRA Awards.

Across nearly a decade of consistent touring the band has supported major acts including Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day, and has headlined sold-out shows across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Japan and India. The combination of domestic chart success, international award recognition and sustained live activity has positioned Amyl and The Sniffers among Australia’s more prominent rock exports of the past ten years.

The 2027 tour dates place the band in outdoor settings that range from riverside and foreshore locations to a beachside series. Support line-ups vary by city, pairing the headliners with a mix of established and emerging Australian acts. The inclusion of Indigenous place names alongside the conventional city titles in the official announcement reflects current practice in Australian event promotion.

Ticket buyers who secure seats for these shows will contribute directly to the listed charities with every purchase. The band’s stated intention is to return the proceeds to organisations focused on food security, children’s welfare, emergency support for women and girls, knowledge sharing, housing collaboration, advocacy for incarcerated women and consent education, while also acknowledging the local response to the Bondi attack through the additional Sydney donation.
