FinestVinyl Australia, a sister company to Germany’s finestvinyl.de, has started operating online.

The new mail-order FinestVinyl Australia platform run from former German now Melbourne resident Tex Bauckhorn.

Bauckhorn started out with H’art Music in 1998 working at Cargo Records as A&R and label manager. There he was associated with a number of labels including Kill Rock Stars, Light In The Attic, Yep Roc, Bomp!, Voodoo Rhythm, Vampisoul, Bang, Southern Lord, Roadburn, Rise Above, Charly, 4Men With Beards and others.

At the end of 2015 Tex reached out to FinestVinyl in Germany and suggested an Australian edition of the business. The company has now launched its website at finestvinyl.com.au

“Finestvinyl Australia is brought to you by music fans, by diggers and collectors, musicians, journalists, music maniacs and specialists, freaks and geeks,” Tex says. “This specific concoction of misfits is what the company has been built on in its origin in Germany and Europe, and this concept will be continued here, reinvented as an Australian company, with a focus on the domestic market and close ties to the local scene”.

You can now start flipping through album covers at http://www.finestvinyl.com.au
