Barry Manilow will once again perform at A Capitol Fourth, the annual fourth of July show from the west lawn of Washington’s Capitol Building.

Manilow first performed on the program in 2009 with Aretha Franklin, Andrew von Oeyen and the cast of Jersey Boys and returned in 2013 with John Williams, Megan Hilty, Neil Diamond, Jackie Evancho, Candice Glover, Scotty McCreery and the cast of Motown: The Musical.

Plans have Manilow opening with a special patriotic medley that he hasn’t performed since the reopening of the Statue of Liberty in 1986. He will also close the show prior to the traditional playing of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Manilow will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly.

Also participating in the event will be the Choral Arts Society of Washington, the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, the U.S. Army Ceremonial Band, Members of the Armed Forces carrying the State and Territorial Flags and the Armed Forces Color Guard provided by the Military District of Washington, D.C.

The concert will air on PBS on July 4 from 8:00 to 9:30 ET.
