Several of Britney Spears’ most famous costumes are going up for auction.

Seller Dana Proctor has put seven of the singer’s iconic outfits up for sale on eBay, including Britney’s famous look from the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, where she performed I’m A Slave 4 U while holding a python.

According to TMZ.com, Dana was hoping to make a six-figure sum from the sale of the outfits. She has been collecting the clothing since 2003 when Britney herself auctioned off some of the garments.

Fans won’t be able to purchase an individual piece of memorabilia, as the collection is being sold as one lot. The auction includes the Levi’s chaps from Britney’s Overprotected music video from 2001, her custom-made Versace Atelier dress from the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, her I’m A Slave 4 U music video costume, and the outfit she wore in the Me Against the Music video with Madonna in 2003.

The jersey Britney wore at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2001 is also up for grabs.

To date, Dana has received bids totalling $99,000 (£76,000) for the collection.

“I’ve collected these outfits since 2003 when Britney auctioned them off,” Dana explained in the eBay listing, and added she thinks they’re “arguably the most iconic costumes in music history”.

Each of the costumes comes with “authenticity certificates” and added extras including shoes and some accessories.
