A representative for Britney Spears insists the star did not give her blessing for a forthcoming TV biopic.

TV movies about the lives of late stars Whitney Houston and Aaliyah have aired in recent years, while behind-the-scenes drama from hit TV shows Saved by the Bell and Beverly Hills, 90210 have been recreated for the small screen.

Meanwhile, Britney has been on a whirlwind press tour to promote her ninth studio album Glory, which will be released on Friday.

On Sunday, she’ll make her first performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in almost 10 years. This time around, the 34-year-old is set to give a performance of her new single Make Me…
