Chopper is going to release an album of prison song cover.

Each of the songs on the yet-to-be titled album will feature a story of special significance sung by Read.

Shock expects to release the album in February, 2013. Giving the timing, he may arrive after Chopper departs this mortal coil. In April he told The Herald-Sun that he only had weeks to live.

‘Chopper’ Read was one of Australia’s most famous criminals in the 70s and 80s. Read spent just 13 months out of prison between the ages of 20 and 38. Eric Bana portrayed him in the 2000 movie ‘Chopper’.
