Three weeks after her untimely death, Cilla Black has the number 1 album in the U.K.

Black died on August 1 after a fall in her villa in Spain. The medical examiner in Liverpool ruled last week that her death was due to a traumatic head injury. Since then, Black’s album The Very Best of Cilla Black has been climbing back up the charts, returning two weeks ago at 14, moving to 6 last week and now number 1.

This is the first time an album by Black has reached the top of the British Albums chart with her previous best being her third album, 1966’s Cilla Sings a Rainbow, which peaked at number 4. Her debut, Cilla (1965), went to number 5.

Last week’s number 1 album, Dr. Dre’s Compton, falls to number 5 while most of the rest of the albums by veteran artists show little change from last week. There were no new chart entries from veteran artists.

The top five albums this week in the U.K.:
The Very Best of Cilla Black – Cilla Black
Chaos and the Calm – James Bay
Venom – Bullet For My Valentine
X – Ed Sheeran
Compton – Dr. Dre

The top five singles:
Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself – Jess Glynne
Marvin Gaye – Charlie Puth Featuring Meaghan Trainor
How Deep Is Your Love – Calvin Harris & Disciples
Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd
Intoxicated – Martin Solveig & GTA
