There had been earlier reports that Michael Jackson’s former physician was being carefully monitored in case he tried to harm himself but this is now said to be untrue.

Murray was booked into Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles yesterday after being found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of the King of Pop.

Although he is being held in a high-security medical wing of the jail, a law enforcement official says that he is not on suicide watch.

‘There is no medical reason for it,’ Deputy Jeff Cannon told the Daily News. ‘t’s a matter of convenience until they determine where they can put him. It has a higher percentage of deputies to inmates.’

Murray was called a danger to society yesterday by Judge Michael Pastor who remanded the 58-year-old in custody until November 29 when he will be sentenced for administering the lethal dose of Propofol that killed Jackson.

It has been revealed that Murray has been filming a documentary about Jackson since the star died in June 2009.

The film entitled ‘Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship’ has followed the doctor over the past two years.

Murray, who is now a convicted felon, faces four years in prison for crime.
