The RIAA has given out their latest Gold and Platinum awards and, during the last month, with Creedence Clearwater Revival ‘Chronicle’ passing the 10 million sales mark to go Diamond.

The big announcement was that Creedence Clearwater Revival’s 1976 album Chronicle: 20 Greatest Hits, has received their 9x and 10x Platinum certificates. Each certificate represents one million units in sales in the U.S., showing that Chronicle has now sold over ten million copies.

The song, from the upcoming movie Trolls, was released on May 6 and was an almost immediate hit, becoming the first number 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 by a veteran artist since 2000. It is currently at number 3.

Richard Marx’ 1997 album Greatest Hits has received its Gold certification, indicating 500,000 copies sold while Tim McGraw’s latest single, Humble and Kind, received a Gold Single award. The song went to number 1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart, the 26th of his career.
