Do Re Mi Announce By The C Sideshows

The reformed Do Re Mi have added some sideshows on top of their By The C dates.

Do Re Mi will perform two extra shows for Brisbane and Melbourne after playing the first two By The C shows in Newcastle and Wollongong.

The By The C dates are:

Saturday 19th January 2019 – Camp Shortland, Newcastle East NSW
Sunday 20th January 2019 – Stuart Park, North Wollongong NSW
Saturday 2nd February 2019 – Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta QLD
Saturday 9th February 2019 – Leura Park Estate, Curlewis VIC
Sunday 10th February 2019 – Glenelg Beach, Adelaide SA

Do Re Mi will perform at the Triffid, Brisbane on 31 January and the Corner Hotel, Melbourne on 8 February.

In a statement Deborah Conway said, After 30 years we’re opening a time capsule and rediscovering artefacts that have been out of circulation for more than half my lifetime. Breathing life back into this treasure trove of tunes, words, riffs & rhythms is a loving enterprise. I come to them again with an appreciation of our passion, affection for our naivety & awe of our energy; I am looking forward to reopening that time capsule for our older & wiser audiences & for their great grandchildren ;-)”

Deborah’s co-founder Helen Carter said, “Playing those songs again and listening to the words, I’m struck by how danceable they are and sadly, how the forces we railed against persist. Those songs are still relevant and it goes to show how long it takes for real social change to happen.”

Do Re Mi will also perform at the Twilight at Taronga show in Sydney on March 1.
