Elton John Rants At Security Guard During Show

Elton John reportedly threatened to walk out of his gig on Saturday during a foul-mouthed rant at security guards.

Elton was performing at the Leicestershire County Cricket Club in England when he shouted at the guards to stop ordering his fans to sit down when they tried to stand up and dance along to the show.

Elton reportedly told the staff to sit down and let the audience enjoy themselves otherwise he would walk off stage and not return.

“Security guards please sit down otherwise I am not going to do the rest of the concert and you’ll get in fucking trouble,” he said, according to multiple reports. “Now sit down, you pricks!”

He reportedly stared at the guards while the audience cheered, and eventually the stewards stopping ordering the crowd. He praised them for listening to this orders, saying, “Thank you guys, thank you.”

A spokesman for Elton told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “He did ask a few of the security people to relax and let the audience stand up and dance if they wanted to.”

This isn’t the first time Elton has become angry at concert stewards for their attempts to control crowd behaviour. He previously said, “You get a f**king uniform on and you think you’re Hitler… we’re not having it, p**s off!” during a show at Kingsholm outdoor stadium in Gloucester, England last year.

His rant upset one worker and he invited her onstage to give her a hug, before allowing her to sit beside him on the piano stool for a song. “It was highly inappropriate. I got frustrated and no one should ever talk to a lady like that. I’m very, very apologetic,” he said to the worker at the time.
