Five Finger Death Punch have closed the North American leg of their 20th Anniversary World Tour with a $200,000 donation to USA Judo and USA Cycling BMX programmes, with founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory and vocalist Ivan Moody revealing the personal connections behind the contribution.
Five Finger Death Punch have donated $200,000 to support American athletes preparing for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, making the announcement at the final North American show of their 20th Anniversary World Tour.
The Las Vegas hard rock band presented the donation on Friday, 23 October, at Jiffy Lube Live Amphitheater in Bristow, Virginia. The funds will benefit USA Judo and USA Cycling’s BMX Racing and BMX Freestyle programmes, supporting athletes working towards the Los Angeles Games.
A portion of every ticket sold during the North American tour contributed to the initiative, allowing the band’s audience to participate in the fundraising effort. The donation was announced as the band completed the 2026 North American leg of its anniversary celebrations, with a UK and European arena tour scheduled for early 2027.
For founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory, the contribution to USA Judo has a direct personal connection. He began practising the sport at nine years old and continues to compete.
“I started judo at nine years old, and I still compete today,” Bathory said.
“I know what it can give a person, how it shapes your mind, builds discipline, and teaches you to face adversity. Those lessons stayed with me far beyond the mat. I’ve built a life and a career on those principles.”
Bathory said the donation reflects his desire to help other athletes access the resources they need to compete at the highest level.
“That’s why supporting USA Judo is deeply personal to me. I want more people to discover this sport, and I want the athletes who reach its highest level to have the resources to pursue their full potential.”
He also credited the band’s fans for making the contribution possible.
“Our fans’ support puts us in a position to be able to give back, and we’re grateful for that opportunity,” Bathory said. “As we close out our 2026 tour cycle, this is something we can all be proud of together, and we’ll continue building on it in 2027.”
Vocalist Ivan Moody has his own connection to the donation’s sporting beneficiaries. Before music became his career, he dreamed of following the BMX riders he admired as a child.
“As a kid, I remember wanting to pursue a life amongst the BMX greats,” Moody said. “My bike wasn’t a toy; it was my best homie, my key to freedom. My balance.”
Although music ultimately became his professional calling, Moody said he continues to follow the development of BMX and the next generation of riders.
“Music is where my heart belongs. But there are moments where I still dream the dream by watching the new world of riders as they evolve and continue to grow with the sport.”
Moody described the donation as a way of giving something back to the young rider he once was.
“To be able to donate to a cause this close to my heart… let’s just say, I feel like I’m donating to that young boy that is still riding quarter pipes and learning combos with his friends. Full circle. GO USA. Roll Out.”
The $200,000 contribution extends Five Finger Death Punch’s charitable work, which has included support for veterans, first responders, suicide prevention and youth homelessness. The band has previously reported donations exceeding $1 million across its charitable initiatives.
The contribution also comes during a significant period commercially for the group. Five Finger Death Punch released their tenth studio album, Legacy, on 30 July 2026. According to the band, the album has accumulated more than 60 million streams and charted internationally.
Lead single “Eye Of The Storm” reached number one on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, giving the band its 18th consecutive chart-topper and extending its record for consecutive number ones on the chart. The song spent three weeks at the summit. Follow-up single “Nails In The Coffin” has also reached the Top 10 at rock radio.
The album’s ten tracks are “Legacy”, “De Oppresso Liber”, “Eye Of The Storm”, “Nails In The Coffin”, “In Time”, “Unscathed”, “Joke’s On Me”, “Everybody Lies”, “Shelter” and “Scapegoat”. Physical editions have been released on CD and vinyl, with additional formats available through the band’s retail partners.
Five Finger Death Punch now turn their attention to the next stage of the 20th Anniversary World Tour. The UK and European leg begins in Manchester on 16 January 2027 and concludes in Helsinki on 22 February, covering 21 cities.
Lamb of God and Bleed From Within are scheduled to join the tour, although Lamb of God will not appear on selected dates. Prague will feature Dymytry.
The European run continues the band’s anniversary celebrations while extending a tour that has brought together its live catalogue, recent material and a charitable initiative supported by fans purchasing tickets. The donation to USA Judo and USA Cycling gives the North American leg a lasting purpose beyond the final performance.
