Flaming Hands will perform their first show in more than 30 years as special guest act for Sunnyboys in February.

Flaming Hands were around for a short time in Sydney in the early 80s. The band’s principals, Julie Mostyn and Jeff Sullivan will reform Flaming Hands for (at this point) one night only.

Flaming Hands only had one album. The ‘Flaming Hands’ album of 1984 featured Andrew Fariss and Kirk Pengilly of INXS.

For Sydney fans, there will be the added thrill of seeing Sunnyboys old gigging partners Flaming Hands performing their first show since 1985! Featuring singer Julie Mostyn and songwriter Jeff Sullivan Flaming Hands’ stripped back blend of sixties influenced soul, R&B and psychedelia was the perfect foil for Sunnyboys hi-energy rock shows for many nights in 1981.

They also released a number of singles, “I Belong to Nobody / The Stranger”, “Wake Up Screaming / Sweet Revenge”, “It’s Just That I Miss You / Go Or Stay”, “Cast My Love / Kismet and The Edge / Sacrifice”.

Flaming Hands will open for Sunnyboys in Sydney on February 4.

Saturday 4th February 2017
Sydney, Enmore Theatre
special guests: Flaming Hands and Shy Impostors

Sunnyboys will head out for dates in February 2017 performing an entire set of songs Jeremy Oxley wrote in 1981.
