Fleetwood Mac Debut The Neil Finn and Mike Campbell Line-up For Ellen

by Paul Cashmere on September 6, 2018

in News

The new line-up of Fleetwood Mac with Neil Finn and Mike Campbell replacing Lindsay Buckingham has debuted via Ellen.

Fleetwood Mac performed two classics ‘The Chain’ and ‘Gypsy’ for Ellen.

‘The Chain’ in particular showcased Finn’s vocals. The original song was dominated by Lindsay Buckingham’s vocals with harmony from Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie.

The carefully chosen number was picked to highlight what a good fit Finn is in the band.

Fleetwood Mac replaced Lindsay with two, not one. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell takes up the guitar gymnastics Buckingham was known for. The performance of ‘The Chain’ is evidence that Buckingham’s talents would not be found in one person.

The second song Fleetwood Mac performed for Ellen was Stevie’s ‘Gypsy’.

The Fleetwood Mac tour will start in Tulsa, Oklahoma on 3 October 2018.
