The Florence + the Machine singer will reportedly perform Gimme Shelter with frontman Sir Mick Jagger at the show in London’s O2 Arena. Mary J. Blige sang with Mick at a UK concert on Sunday, and Florence has vowed to make her appearance even more memorable.

‘Mary J. Blige did the female vocal part for the first show which blew the crowd away,’ a source told British newspaper The Mirror. “But Florence is determined to raise the bar even higher. It will be an incredible moment.’

Florence is currently touring in Europe, but will apparently fly into London for the latest show in the band’s 50th anniversary tour, before travelling on to Germany.

‘It is very, very tight indeed but it will definitely happen,’ the insider explained. “You would never in a million years turn down the opportunity to duet with Mick on such an iconic song.’

Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton is also tipped to be involved in tomorrow evening’s spectacle.

‘Eric is also taking part at some point, which will be historic too,’ the source added.

Mary was thrilled to duet with Mick over the weekend.

The American R&B star took to her Twitter account to express her happiness after performing with the legendary rockers.

‘So much fun performing in London w/ the @RollingStones! Congrats on your 50th anniversary!!, (sic)” she tweeted.

This will be the Rolling Stones’ second concert in London. They will also perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on December 8 and at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on December 13 and 15.

Thursday’s show is said to be so in demand that standing room tickets are being sold online for almost £5,000.

The band has expressed their disappointment that fans have been prevented from buying tickets at the ‘original price’.
