Frankie Knuckles ‘Your Love’ has debuted at no. 29 in the UK following the death of the legendary House founder last week.

‘Your Love’ was a 1984 track by House artist Jamie Principle. Knuckles heard the song and played it at his Chicago club The Power Plant before its official release. It was one of Chicago’s most popular club hits for over a year before finally being released on Persona Records as a 12 inch single.

This gives Knuckles his first UK hit since 1995 when ‘Whadda U Want (From Me) peaked at no 36 in the UK.

Frankie Knuckles was known as The Godfather of House. The term “House Music’ was an abbreviation of Frankie’s then club ‘The Warehouse’ where he developed the style of music.

Frankie Knuckles died in March 31, 2014 at the age of 59. He suffered diabetes.
