Rock stars from all over the world have poured out their hearts on Twitter following the news of the death of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman.

Jeff Hanneman of Slayer

49-year old Hanneman never recovered after being bitten by a spider in 2011. After the spider bite he contracted Nercrotising Fasciitis, aka flesh-eating disease.

Jeff passed away today officially from liver failure, brought on by the bite.

Since the news broke the music community worldwide has been paying its respects. To the Slayer guitarist:
