Comedian Jimmy Mack (James McNair) has been killed in an horrific accident on the New Jersey Turnpike which has also left 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan in a critical condition.

McNair and Morgan were returning to New York City in a limo bus after performing at a casino in Dover, Delaware early Saturday morning.

Comics Harris Stanton and Ardie Fuqua were also injured in the accident as well as Morgan’s assistant Jeff Millea.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred around 1am Saturday near Cranbury, New Jersey.

63-year old Mack was one of Morgan’s comedy writer. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Morgan, Stanton, Fuqua and Millea were transferred by helicopter to the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick. Morgan is expected to remain in a critical condition all weekend.

Morgan’s publicist has issued the following statement:

“Tracy remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He sustained these injuries in an accident that occurred early this morning as one of several passengers in a chauffeured SUV returning from a tour date in Delaware. His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don’t anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available.”
