Katy Perry has been named one of the top paid celebrities by Forbes on the annual Highest Paid Celebrities list.
Perry comes in at number 3 on the list with income of $135 million over the last year, but she’s not the top paid person in entertainment. That would go to boxing promoter Floyd Mayweather who comes in $300 million.
Forbes’ list “measures the earnings of the highest-paid entertainers on the planet over the last 12 months” which is measured as June 1, 2014 to June 2, 2015.
One thing the list shows is that, even with recorded music sales down so far, musicians have definitely found alternate ways to make money. Of the 100 people/groups on the list, 38 are musicians, more than any other category.
