Mavis Staples Performs For Conan O’Brien

Conan O’Brien welcomed the legendary Mavis Staples to his show this week.

Mavis Staples is about to release her new album ‘One True Vine’

Jeff Tweedy of Wilco produced the new Mavis Staples album ‘One True Vine’. Tweedy’s last collaboration with Staples was ‘You Are Not Alone’ in 2010. It earned Mavis her first Grammy Award.

‘One True Vine’ was recorded at Tweedy’s studio The Loft’ in Chicago. It features Jeff Tweedy playing every instrument on the album except drums. Jeff’s 17-year old son Spencer handled drumming duties.

‘One True Vine’ will be released on Anti via Warner Music in Australia tomorrow.
