“It’s official. I’m dead. Wow its lovely down here…nice and warm, gr8 parties…lots of rock n roll,” he wrote.

Mick wrote that after reports surfaced that he had died in a jet-ski crash on Parot Cay in the Turks and Calcos Islands.

The unconfirmed news of Hucknall’s death quickly spread through Twitter making Mick a hot topic at the time.

“relieved that my Daughter is young enough to NOT be traumatized by these delightful rumours … take a good fucking look at yourselves,” he wrote the following day.

Mick will be performing three shows in Rotterdam later this week where he will perform four songs with a full size symphony orchestra. James Blunt, Angie Stone and John Miles are also on the bill. The shows are at Ahoy on November 17, 18 and 19.

Also later this month he will release a new Christmas song called ‘Happy This Christmas’. The song will be available from simplyred.com and his Facebook page.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
