Nas claims a concert promoter cannot sue him for being kidnapped.

The rapper, who used to be married to pop star Kelis, says that Patrick Allocco only has himself to blame for being held captive in Angola.

There is currently a $10 million lawsuit in place as a result of the man being held against his will for almost two months.

However Nas claims the pair has already separately settled the matter.

Nas filed court documents saying they resolved the problem while the promoter was locked up.

The deal includes an agreement that if Nas repaid the advanced sum for the show he backed out of, which he did, Patrick wouldn’t sue.

Patrick Allocco claims the music artist took $300,000 for a New Year’s Eve gig in the African country, but didn’t attend.

Apparently promoters from the nation held him for ransom for 50 days from December 2011.

They allegedly beat and threatened him at gunpoint until they got the funds back.

Nas is asking for the case to be thrown out because he was fully aware of the type of situation he could fall into.

The papers states he jetted out to the location to be “human security” for the event deal before Nas had even signed on.

Nas apparently didn’t show up because the promoter had breached their original contract.

The rapper says he failed to provide adequate security, messed up their flight tickets and paid the $300,000 advance late.
