Brian Johnson reveals that a new AC/DC album is on hold because “one of the boys” is getting over an illness.

Hennemusic reports that Johnson said on ‘The Cowhead Show’ on Tampa radio station WPHT that an illness is delaying new music.

Jonhson said, “One of the boys is a little sick and I can’t say anything, but he’s getting better. He’s doing wonderful. Full recovery fully expected”.

He also spoke about his excitement at going back to record songs for what would be their 17th studio album.

“It’s a wonderful thing when we get in a room,” he said.

“Whenever the boys get back together, I get all excited. The boys, after a while, pick the guitars up, Phil will make his way to the drums, Cliff will pull his bass out and then all of a sudden this noise comes out and I sit there with just this big old grin on my face.”

Their 2008 album Black Ice hit number one in 23 countries and sold over 5 million copies.
