Ex-Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has shut down his Twitter account and announced he will no longer post on Facebook in a bid to refocus his life.

He will, though, keep his Instagram account as it is an outlet for his love of photography.

Sixx posted on his Facebook page:

GOODBYE FACEBOOK….I WANNA GET BACK TO WHATS REAL.WRITING MUSIC,LYRICS,BOOKS,PHOTOGRAPHY ETC ETC…..IF YA WANNA FOLLOW ME I POST PHOTOS ON INSTAGRAM…OTHERWISE SEE YOU LIVE NEXT TIME I GO ON TOUR….MUCH LOVE…

Since the end of Motley Crue last December 31, Sixx has been busy releasing two albums with his band Sixx:A.M., touring and his radio show Sixx Sense.

Whether this will last is unknown. People often get frustrated with the social media merry-go-round only to return a short time later.
