One Direction Head Off In Every Direction

One Direction are reportedly feeling a “divide” ahead of their break.

Last month fans around the world were left heartbroken when the British four-piece announced they are set to go on hiatus in 2016, after five years in the spotlight. Many loyal Directioners are worried the group won’t reform and despite insisting it’s temporary, insiders claim things are tense between members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.

Adding to this is the departure of their former bandmate, Zayn Malik, whose shock exit in March left followers speechless.

“Harry and Niall took over most of Zayn’s vocals because they had similar voice ranges. They said it was more work,” a source told British magazine Closer. “There’s also a big divide between Harry and Niall – who love to go out – and Liam and Louis, who are more settled in their lives now. Things between them all have got frosty since Zayn left.”

Louis is set to become a dad with his close pal Briana Jungwirth, while Liam is smitten with long-term girlfriend Sophia Smith. With the other two lads single, it seems their relationship statuses only contribute to the tension.

The pop sensations formed on UK’s The X Factor in 2010 and have become one of the biggest acts on the planet since then. But curly-haired lothario Harry, 21, is thought to have other showbiz dreams.

“No one in the One Direction camp is surprised by the break. It’s been a long time coming. Harry has had his sights set on solo stardom for some time,” the source added. “He spends loads of time in LA and wants to move there next year. He’s already been having secret meetings with producers – and the boys weren’t happy when they found out.”
