Out On The Weekend Returns With Marlon Williams and Robert Ellis

Out On The Weekend, one of Australia’s most unique music festivals, will return in October with Marlon Williams and Robert Ellis leading a full day of pure entertainment.

Out On The Weekend brings an Americana flavour to the Australian stage and wins with a quality line-up, a brilliant location of Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay and a curated program designed for families.

“Welcome back to Out On The Weekend for it’s third magical year,” heralds organizer BT from Love Police. “Melbourne has always had a strong association with the twangy sounds of Alt-Country and the Americana genre, so it’s fitting to see such a strong presence of incredible local talent plus international stars taking the stages at the beautiful Seaworks site in seaside Williamstown. For those that know, it’s a grand day of excellent sounds, good times and sparkling services and we expect to see you again. For those that don’t, come join the party this October. It’ll be a blast. Guaranteed.”

New Zealand’s Melbourne based Marlon Williams has made huge gains in the USA this year with his band The Yarra Benders. “It has been 3 years since I moved over to Melbourne,” Williams says. “I played my first gig at Some Velvet Morning, then went all over town playing shows in the first 6 months before we had a crack at The Toff In Town to launch a live album. It was a great time getting to know the local scene while living above the Yarra. Out On The Weekend will be nearly a year since our last headline show in Melbourne, and it’s a huge honour returning to headline a festival that puts my style of music front and centre. Can’t wait to play for everyone again.”

Out On The Weekend will also welcome the Australian return on Robert Ellis and Joe Pug as well as Lindi Ortega, Joshua Hedley, The Cactus Blossoms, Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Tracy McNeil & The GoodLife, Bakersfield Glee Club and The Stetson Family with Grand Ole Twang Broadcasting Live Celebrating 20 Years of 3RRR Twang.
