Russell Morris, Canned Heat To Headline Sydney Blues & Roots Festival

Blues great Walter Trout has just completed work on his 31st album. The yet to be titled album will be released in February but don’t expect to hear anything from it on his next Australian tour in January.

Woodstock Relived has been rescheduled for November 26 in Melbourne.

Bluesman Wilbert Harrison was responsible for Canned Heat’s third hit song. After the Los Angeles blues rock boogie band scored their first and second hits with now classics ‘On The Road Again’ and ‘Going Up The Country’, their third hit was a cover of Wilbert’s ‘Lets Stick Together’.

Canned Heat founding member Adolfo "Fito" de la Parra has confirmed the mystery behind the classic John Lee Hooker and Canned Heat collaboration, the 1971 album ‘Hooker ‘N Heat’.

Canned Heat will be on the road again in Australia in May, 2019.
