in News,Noise Pro

This week at iHeartRadio Music News powered by Noise11.com, a special edition, Russell Morris ‘Black and Blue Heart’.

Russell Morris is an Australian music legend. His career spans more than 50 years. He carved hits like The Real Thing and Wings of an Eagle in the 60s and 70s that are not considered a part of Australian Music Culture.

In 2012 after 40 years of rock Russell embarked on a labour of love to tell Australian stories through blues. Sharkmouth, the first in a trilogy, re-established Russell as a creative force in the Australian music industry. He was awarded a Platinum award and rewarded with an ARIA award for the album.

In 2018 after three successful blues albums, Russell returned to the studio and returned to his roots to make Black and Blue Heart, a rock album with production by Powerfinger’s Bernard Fanning and Nick DiDia who has worked with Springsteen and Pearl Jam.

Black and Blue Heart is a stunning record that starts by rocking you and end by tugging at your emotions.

In a Noise11 special edition, Russell Morris talks us through his latest masterpiece, Black and Blue Heart.
