Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has tweeted a picture of a unidentified vinyl record leading to speculation that a new Radiohead album may be imminent.

Yorke’s failed to explain what the picture was or meant but fans quickly decided that Yorke was likely “teasing album artwork”.

Radiohead have been quiet ever since their Australian tour of 2012. The last time the band played live was in Melbourne two years ago on November 17, 2012.

The last Radiohead studio album was ‘The King of Limbs’ in February 2011.

Musically the band has been in solo mode since the last tour. Philip Selway will release this album ‘Weatherall’ in October, Yorke released the side-project Atoms for Peace album ‘Amok’ in 2013, Jonny Greenwood has been working on movie soundtracks. His latest ‘Inherent Vice’ will premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 4 and Colin Greenwood and Ed O’Brien have been keeping a low profile since the last Radiohead tour ended.
