Tony Iommi Wishes Bill Ward A Speedy Recovery After Surgery

by Paul Cashmere on October 17, 2013

in News

Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath has sent his former drummer Bill Ward his best wishes after learning that Ward had undergone a major operation.

In a statement at his official website Ward wrote,

Dear Bill,
Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell hope you make a speedy recovery.
Best wishes,
Tony

Ward was diagnosed with Diverticulitis, a rare and painful bowel condition.

The statement from Iommi to Ward was the first pubic communication between Ward and Black Sabbath since his messy departure before the recent world tour.

Ward’s surgery is reported to have no complications and he is expected to make a full recovery within a month.
