Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins has married Purple Wiggle Lachy Gillespie. Does that make then the Brown Wiggle?
Bowral on the New South Wales Southern Highlands was all colourful for the celebrity wedding of the two Wiggles with Red Wiggle Simon Pryce as one of the groomsmen and Blue Wiggle Anthony Field playing the bagpipes.
All former Wiggles except for Greg Page attended the wedding. Entertainment was also a bit of a Cockroaches reunion with the John Field 10 piece band featuring John, his brother Blue Wiggle Anthony and frontman and Cockroaches singer Paul Field attending to the musical requirements. Original Red Wiggle Murray Cook also joined the band.
“Seeing Emma was the most magical moment of my life. Everything else just seemed to melt away,” Lachy said of his new bride.
Emma said, “Lachy. Love. Laughter. The best day of my life.”
Before Lachy proposed to Emma he called Anthony Field. Anthony’s response was “Lachy, I’m not your dad!”
It’s a year of weddings for the Wiggles… Red Wiggle Simon proposed to his long-time girlfriend (and former Wiggles dancer) Lauren Hannaford in Paris on New Year’s Eve. They plan to marry late this year or early 2017.
