Shazam Chart: Australia Is Clicking On James Arthur ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’

James Arthur ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ is the song most Australians are discovering via Shazam despite the song peaking at no 3 on the ARIA Chart.

As ARIA’s formula is a mish-mash of various audience reactions to music and is currently generating an inaccurate read of what Australia is actually responding too.

The Shazam chart gives an early indication of what people are interested in pursing from the new sounds they hear while the iTunes chart is generating an immediate reaction to those responses.

As the ARIA chart includes up to week old sales data it is ghosting audience reaction and cannot keep up with the trending iTunes and Shazam charts.

James Arthur has registered as the top song for Shazam for the past two week while ARIA’s inclusion of streaming data is dragging the title down its chart and weighting older titles higher.
