Sydney Festival will hit a milestone in January 2026, marking 50 years as one of Australia's most culturally defining events. From 8 January to 25 January, Sydney will once again become a living stage for theatre, dance, visual art, literature, cabaret and music, with this year's program celebrating five decades of artistic change while imagining the city's creative future.

Hot Chip have announced a new album. Hot Chip - which consists of Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin - were originally formed in 2000 and released their last album in 2019 but are set to return to the music scene with 'Freakout/Release', due for release later this year.
