The first episode of Absolutely Fabulous aired in 1992.
The show originally ran for three seasons ending in May 1995. The last show of the third season was going to be “the last ever Ab Fab” but that wasn’t the case.
Another season was produced in 2001 followed by a fifth in 2004 and then that Olympic thing happened in London four years ago and they just couldn’t help themselves. More shows were produced.
Creator Jennifer Saunders declined from offers for a sixth season but when a movie became a possibility it was back behind the cameras once again for Absolutely Fabulous The Movie.
The stars of Absolutely Fabulous The Movie Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley were in Melbourne for the Australian premiere of Absolutely Fabulous The Movie and spoke with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere on the Red Carpet.
