Sandy Gutman aka Austen Tayshus will tell his story in the upcoming documentary ‘Skin In The Game’.
Gutman can claim Australia’s biggest ever comedy single ‘Australiana’ in 1983. The piece was written by Billy Birmingham, the 12th Man. It sold hundreds and thousands of copies.
Gutman was part of Australia’s pub rock scene in the 1980s. He was aligned signed to Martin and Jeremy Fabini’s Regular Records and aligned at shows with Mental As Anything, INXS, Cold Chisel and Midnight Oil.
‘Skin In The Game’ tells the story of a moment in Australia’s cultural history that created a template still used today in both comedy and music.
