Prodigious songwriter Josh Romig enlists players (who’ve worked with Tex Perkins, Gossling and Jordie Lane) for his unique indie-pop project Blue Sun.
Romig knows his way around a tune, but friends and veteran musicians Shane Reilly, Pete Marin and Roger Bergodaz have turned Blue Sun into a quirky kaleidoscope of instrumentation and their ‘We Are Blue Sun’ debut EP a fascinating and fun primer for the band.
We speak to Josh and Shane about how the band got together, trying to pin down and avoid genres, what the hell those sounds are, and testing the tunes out on stage.
