French singer songwriter Émilie Simon released her first album in 2003 and has had a number of hit albums in native France as well as Belguim and Switzerland.

Émilie came from her music background. Her father was a sound engineer who worked recording jazz shows. She became a music student and has a masters degree in musicology.

Émilie’s debut album Victories de la Musique’ earned her a 2004 award for Best Electronic Album in France. The somewhat different album featured her take on the Iggy & The Stooges song ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’.

‘Mue’ is the latest album from Émilie Simon. She will perform in Australia for So Frenchy So Chic in January.
