Melbourne trio Iowa struggle to play at a volume that won’t leave your ears dripping with blood and that’s the way they like it.

With influences steeped in the 90s, their guitar-pedal driven sound conjures images of Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth to name but a few, but even though they wear their influences on their sleeves, they can blow the ears off any other wannabe rock band who dares follow them.

Their debut album will be in stores in April 2012. Word on the street is there’ll be a yellow vinyl version. Cool hey?

For Noise11’s Sessions @ The Old Bar, Iowa performed Lose Yourself, Should’ve Known and Love Song.
