Australia’s cream of pop will pay tribute to the genius of Carole King with the upcoming tribute album ‘Beautiful – A Tribute To Carole King’.

‘Beautiful – A Tribute To Carole King’ features newly recorded versions of King classics by Daryl Braithwaite, Guy Sebastian, Human Nature and Vika & Linda Bull.

Dami Im, who recently recorded a tribute album to The Carpenters, also features on the album. “I feel so honoured to be a part of this album. I have always been a huge Carole King fan and after seeing the production in London earlier this year I jumped at the opportunity. Carole King’s music has always inspired me, one of the greatest songwriters of our generation,” she said in a statement.

The album is inspired by the Broadway hit ‘Beautiful: The Carole King Musical’. The Australian premiere of the musical will be in Sydney in September.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
