While Australia is being treated to Burt Bacharach in the flesh on tour in October the Bacharach musical ‘Close To You – Bacharach Reimagined’ will open in London.
‘Close To You – Bacharach Reimagined’ was created by Canadian songwriter, musician Kyle Riabko. Riabko has starred on Broadway in ‘Spring Awakening’ and ‘Hair’ but he has also opened for including: BB King, James Brown, John Mayer, Keb Mo, Buddy Guy, Jason Mraz.
He originally called the Bacharach production ‘What’s It All About? Bacharach Reimaged’ and first performed the show at the New York Theatre Workshop.
‘Close To You – Bacharach Reimagined’ will open at London’s Criterion Theatre on October 3, 2015 with a season through to 10 January, 2016.
Burt Bacharach will tour Australia for Mellen Events and Bluehawk Presents.
