The outspoken singer tweeted minutes ago that he’s completed a ‘bucket list’ item: record a song with Grohl and super-producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage).

Corey fuckin Taylor tweeted: “HUGE checks off the Bucket List today- did a song with Dave Grohl and Butch Vig. Do the words ‘holy shit’ say enough about it?!?”

In 2003 Taylor said that the Foo Fighters’ ‘Everlong’ is “One of the greatest rock and roll songs I’ve ever heard – and I don’t throw that around lightly. I have never in my life listened to a song as much as I have listened to ‘Everlong.'”

He has often covered the song acoustically solo and has been saying for years that he wanted to collaborated with Grohl.

In a (translated) Russian interview in 2008 he said, “I utterly wanna compose a song with Dave Grohl. He’s one of my favorite musicians. He’s not only the great musician, but the best composer too, the best lyrics writer.

“I know him and he’s one of the most cheerful man of everyone I’ve ever met. We are fans of each other. And in at every interview I try to tell that I want to write a song with Dave Grohl, to compose and to write.”

More information as it comes to hand.

Garbage Debut Album ‘Garbage’ Turns 30

When Garbage released their self-titled debut album in August 1995, the alternative rock landscape was already shifting. Grunge was waning, Britpop was peaking in the UK, and electronic music was beginning to infiltrate rock’s DNA. Into this transitional moment stepped Garbage, a genre-blurring project that fused rock guitars, trip-hop beats, industrial noise, and pop hooks into something sleek yet menacing.
