The band has been blowing minds and breaking bones with jerky rock and synth weirdness across two albums – 2007’s Curses and 2009’s Travels With Myself And Another.

Formed out of members from cult legends mclusky, just last year they added Jimmy Watkins on drums and ex-pat Aussie Julia Ruzicka on keys and bass.

The critically-adored rock band have polished off their new EP ‘Polymers Are Forever’ before their third album The Plot Against Common Sense comes out on Xtra Mile next year.

And, joy of joys, Spin magazine are streaming  ‘Polymers Are Forever’ for your edification.

It’s more delightfully ugly pop from the four-piece; hooky, clever, obtuse, and ranty. You like? You buy. It’s out now.

They’ll also be in Australia for Meredith and a solo tour. Check out the dates below.

Future Of The Left Australian Tour 2011
Sunday 4 December – Rosemount, Perth
Tuesday 6 December – The Zoo, Brisbane
Thursday 8 December – Annandale Hotel, Sydney
Friday 16 December – Corner Hotel, Melbourne
