Independent Melbourne label I Oh You have set the date their 4th Birthday celebration as a part of Melbourne Music Week 2013.

I Oh You started in late 2009 when four friends who lived in a shared house in Richmond received a final notice of an overdue gas bill that they didn’t have the money to pay. Their solution was to throw a house party and charge a “donation” entry of $10.

Neon Love and Comic Sans both played, and over 200 people (including the Richmond Police department) ended up attending, The four housemates quickly realized that throwing house parties was perhaps the most fun they could fun whilst paying off their utility bills, and haven’t stopped since.

Now, I Oh You has developed into the record label, which houses acts such as DZ Deathrays, Snakadaktal, Violent Soho and City Calm. They continue to throw parties all over the country which have now hosted acts like Foals, Yeasayer, OFWGKTA, The Drums and many more.

I Oh You will be hold their 4th Birthday celebration on the 16th of November, inside Flagstaff Train Station, as a part of the Melbourne Music Week 2013.

The line-up includes names such as Yatch Club DJ’S, Gold Fields, Northeast Party House, City Calm Down, Neon Love, SNKDKTL DJ’s, Indian Summer and Acolyte.
