Jon English Album Re-Enters Australian Chart On One Day Sales

The death of Australian singer songwriter Jon English on Wednesday night has sent fans searching for his music.

After news broke of Jon’s passing on Thursday morning, fans started buying up his greatest hits album ‘Six Ribbons – The Ultimate Collection’. After just one day of sales, the album has entered the ARIA Album Chart at no 23.

Jon English died on Wednesday evening following complications during surgery, He was 66.

The news of English’s death dominated Australian news services all day with the evening news about 11 hours later still running the story as main news.

The two disc ‘Six Ribbons – The Ultimate Collection’ was released through Robert Rigby’s Ambition Entertainment in 2011.
