Spearfish Have Almost Completed A Jon English Tribute Album

Spearfish, the Swedish hard rock band that backed Jon English when he performed in Sweden in 2013, is putting the finishing touches on the ‘Spearhead – The English Project’ album.

‘Spearfish – The English Project’ features a global list of guests from Dan McCafferty of Nazareth to Rick Brewster of The Angels.

The guest list joining Jon English on vocals is John Lawton, vocals (Lucifer’s Friend, ex-Uriah Heep), Dan McCafferty, vocals (ex-Nazareth), Nicky Moore, Vocals (ex-Samson), Dave Gleeson, vocals (The Screaming Jets, The Angels) Pontus Snibb, vocals (Bonafide), Nils Patrik Johansson, vocals (Astral Doors, Lion’s Share, ex-Civil War), Rob Tognoni, vocals, Tony Carey, keyboards (ex-Rainbow) Mark Stanway, keyboards (ex-Magnum, ex-Phil Lynott’s Grand Slam), David Lowy (The Dead Daisies, ex-Doc Neeson’s Angels) Darren Wharton, keyboards (Dare, ex-Thin Lizzy), Bernie Tormé, guitars (ex-Gillan, ex-Ozzy), Rick Brewster, guitars (The Angels) Eric Oblander, harmonica (Five Horse Johnson) Laurence Archer, guitars ( ex-UFO, ex-Phil Lynott’s Grand Slam), Clive Edwards, percussions (ex-UFO, ex-Wild Horses), Mikael Fässberg, guitars (ex-Paul DiAnno, ex-Bonafide), Mark Taylor, keyboards (The Alarm, ex-Elton John, ex-Simple Minds).

Spearfish will donate all proceeds from the album to the Tasmanian Devil Appeal. There will only be 2000 copies and only on vinyl.

The album is expected around September.
