Kylie One Direction Neil Diamond To Appear On Royal Variety Performance

The first acts have been announced for the annual Royal Variety Performance, set for November 19 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

This year’s lineup includes such music stalwarts as Neil Diamond, Rod Stewart and Kylie Minogue along with modern acts like One Direction and Alicia Keys. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip along with other members of the royal family will attend.

While acts are still being signed, the initial list is:

  • David Walliams (host)
  • Girls Aloud
  • Bill Bailey
  • Andrea Bocelli
  • Neil Diamond
  • Placido Domingo
  • Rhod Gilbert
  • Alicia Keys
  • Kylie Minogue
  • One Direction
  • Rod Stewart
  • Robbie Williams
  • The cast of the West End Musical The Bodyguard
  • The cast of the West End Musical Matilda

The event dates back to 1912 and became an annual affair in 1921 although a number of years were skipped during World War II. The performers who have appeared run from Laurel and Hardy to the Beatles to Lady Gaga. The venue changes yearly and has been held outside of London.
