The friends of Karl Broadie will gather for a benefit concert to assist Karl with his medical bills as he battles cancer.
This Sunday afternoon , Brooke McClymont, Adam Eckersley, Luke O’Shea, Jasmine Rae, Harry Hookey, Katie Brianna, Caitlin Harnett, Adam Young and Den Hanrahan will perform the Concert for Karl at the Rooty Hill RSL Club in Sydney.
In a statement Karl wrote:
Dear friends,
after several months of unexplained pain and discomfort, I now have a diagnosis I can share on my illness.
Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer (very advanced), that has spread to the liver with several more malignant tumours.
As you might imagine, with me being ever-positive, I’m entirely defiant upon hearing the prognosis; incurable, inoperable, fatal, terminal. I’m not having it.
I CAN DO THIS and I will be unfaltering in my belief that no matter how difficult a journey I have up ahead, I will emerge healthier and stronger than ever.
