in News

Nile Rodgers has never missed a concert in his life until Sunday (August 13) night.

Rodgers, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, is currently on tour with Earth, Wind and Fire but, on Sunday, he was taken to a Toronto area hospital, missing his appearance at the Air Canada Centre.

Rodgers’ ailment is not known. He only said that the doctors were “taking great care” of him.

Rodgers fought and defeated prostate cancer in the early part of the decade. He announced the diagnosis in January 2011 and has said that it was an aggressive form with doctor’s telling him he should get his affairs in order. Two years later, he said that he had beat the disease.
