Grammy-winning Nashville folk/country duo The Civil Wars announce a tour of Australian churches and cathedrals.
The Civil Wars – Joy Williams and John Paul White – paired up in 2009 after a writing camp in Nashville swiftly sold half a million copies of their debut album Barton Hollow. It also won them Grammys for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album.
They have now announced their first ever tour of Australia and New Zealand for March 2013, and it will be extra special because of the venues – churches and cathedrals well suited to their chamber pop and folk.
Tickets go on sale to Frontier members from 2pm on Wednesday 3 October, and the general public from 9am Friday 5 October through Ticketek (except for the final Auckland show through Ticketmaster). All shows are all ages.
